  • Windows Services is a suite of freeware applications by Microsoft that aims to offer integrated and bundled e-mail, instant messaging, photo-sharing, blog publishing, and security services. Essentials programs are designed to integrate well with each other, with Microsoft Windows, and with other Microsoft web-based services such as SkyDrive and Hotmail, so that they operate as a “seamless whole.

At this period, I've owned an area on services project, it's Bug life cycle's area.

 

I was responsible for all bugs which have been assigned to company's aliases.

- Receive and check

- Re-assign to the opener if it missing any info.

- Fix in the files internally or send it to the owner

- Change the bug statuse once fix, writing the steps of fixing and reassign to  the opener.

After a software or web application has been localized, it is usually tested before being released to the target market. This step is critical to prevent usability, functional, and linguistic problems down the road.

  2. Functional Testing

  3. Requirement for proper testing

  • DTP is refering to "Desktop Publisher", it's always need source and target to test the target related to the source formate, DTp testing consider one of Localization Testing

 

  • ART also consider one of the Localization Testing the tester also needs to source and target to complete the test.

 

  • Also, I've tested the Saudisoft's ShairPoint site and all localization tool which have developed by Sadisoft's Developers.

Issues which can find

  • Incorrect error messages

  • Localization bugs that may cause software crashes

  • Incorrect or missing UI elements, graphics, and windows

  • Errors generated by installing the localized software on a localized OS

  • Missing translated text

  • Text that remains in the source language

  • Mistranslations based on the context in the user interface

  • Translations that are cut off or wrap to the next line

  • Inconsistent appearance or usage
